AN ADVENTURE OF TASTE
Part art, theatre, food experience & astrological insight.
A unique celebration of Norfolk food, drink and skies was held at the stunning Hales Hall and Great Barn. I took a planetary reading of the exact moment in time and space for Marwan Badran to interpret through his culinary mastery.
Together we painted a gastronomic picture of the sky celebrating the new Moon in Pisces
Guests were taken through an unforgettable stargazing and culinary journey full of magical storytelling, historical rooms & unconventional tastes.
When the Moon is new, the Luminaries - the Sun and Moon - are aligned in the same Zodiac sign. This is a magical time of beginnings, when you can open your heart to receive guidance and consciously choose to connect with your whole self.
During a new Moon in Pisces you are face to face with the unknown, we are at a time where we get lost in the dark as the Moon is invisible to us. But to be lost is to be fully present - to be capable of being in uncertainty and mystery.
This new Moon in watery Pisces reminded our guests us to stay open for the impossible to happen, and for their dreams to come true.
We created 'Taste Sculptures' interpreting the four ancient elements of fire, earth, water and air - which included Magic Matches, MushroomTruffle ‘Soil’, homemade Prawn Crackers and a lemony broth. Followed by a dinner that told the story of Neptune - god of the night as the ruler of the new Moon in Pisces.
Guests feasted on Prawn in the Garden of Eden, Fishy Stuffed Quail, a celebratory Savoury Cheese Cake, soft cheese & Poached Rhubarb & Blood Orange Compote with dark chocolate and local cheese.
