New Moon Dinner

A once in a lifetime event to celebrate the new Moon in Taurus & the potent entrance of Uranus in Taurus.

How incredible is it when different minds get together and make something unique, unconventional and creative that goes straight to the soul?

An evening that taught me so much about the power of collaboration and creative expression. Such an inspiring way to channel the astrological language and its meaningful insights.

The night began with a powerful Moon performance in the swimming pool, followed by a nurturing feast combining the Taurus Land & Lunar Sea by Jasmine Hemsley and one-to-one astrological readings for each guest. The unbelievable art direction by Sabrina Lee Hammon who created such an evocative Taurus set up, the detailed and sensual drinks by Cock & Tail, the soulful music by Holiday Phillips, and, of course, Brigitta Spinocchia Freund’s home - a beautiful place that holds magic from within. Working with the amazing team of Vestiaire Collective, particularly the brilliant force of nature Charlie Collins.

As Above So Below - The Transformative Power of Astrology

I introduced the guests to astrology as an art form for self-enquiry, as a tool for creativity and inspiration. Explaining astrology’s importance as part of our history as humans, how it came in and out of fashion, but mainly why today it’s so vital, urgent and relevant. The aim was to take guests through a journey to connect and envision the sky, its magic and poetics. Focussing on the Moon, its feminine qualities and attributes which we all hold. And slowly bringing the new Moon phase we are in and why we are there, all together.

This event was a ritual, an invitation for transformation and change.

An opportunity to awaken feelings and thoughts; to post questions that could alter their understanding of their bodies, fashion, what they wear but mainly what their needs are and how much are they taking care of them. Learning to be faithful, loyal and fight for what we need is a vital skill we all need to learn and astrology allows that understanding.

As Inside So Out - The Transformative Power of the Self

This was a unique and revealing experience for each guest. Looking at where in their chart the new Moon was falling - what new beginning they need, where is the Moon asking for renewal. What is the quality of the seed that needs to be planted. The themes of the evening were applied to each individual, so that the personal relevance was highlighted and turned into action. This was a short but rich and intense experience for each guest to cherish.

Nurtured reflection

The Moon is a signifier of food - in the same way that the Moon affects the tides, the Moon affects the seasons, planting and harvesting as all natural produce contains water.

Cooking is an act of love, is a way to demonstrate affection. Food is not a fuel but a means of nature and emotional substance. Memory, emotion and food completely linked. Food as a cosmic adventure of taste.

We created an environment for a magical evening of transformation.

Inspired by the precise beauty we find in the stars, the art direction brought to life a beautiful and meaningful space that allows guests to depart their daily lives for a few hours and find new perspectives on their way of living.

We sense an otherworldliness that is somehow accessible through a lateral shift in their self-understanding.

Natural concoction

There is a strong need to always return to nature - leaves, greenery, voluptuous, exuberant, colourful. With strong fragrance, flavours, smells. Every cocktail felt like an organic work of art by the way it looks and tastes.

Taurus Martini | Vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, salted caramel

What a way to celebrate the new moon in Taurus and allow her to guide us, giving us healing, support & encourage us for new beginnings.
